Autotroph

This is a picture of a Mexican Heather bush I found at Lowe's. This bush is a plant, automatically making it an autotroph. An autotroph is an organism that produces its own source of energy through the process of photosynthesis or by obtaining chemical energy through oxidation. Because all plants make their food in this manner, this Mexican Heather bush is considered to be an autotroph.
