Gymnosperm Cone

This a picture of a pine cone. This pine cone was a part of a gymnosperm tree, a pine tree. A pine tree is considered a gymnosperm tree because their seeds are developed on the surface of scales or leaves and are modified to form gymnosperm cones, like this pine cone. This pine cone is just a group of "naked" seeds that have formed into a cone, which is the definition of a gymnosperm cone.
